Day 4️⃣: Wrapping up Ruby, onto Rails

If you haven’t been following this series, you can read all articles about my career break here. Read about yesterday here.

Will keep today’s update a short one as most of the day today was spent wrapping up Kevin Skoglund’s Complete Guide to Ruby over a marathon run.

I was finally able to wrap up the course. Went through OOP constructs of the language and also covered Exception handling and working with files and different file formats. Skipped the project at the end of the course as my main target is to continue learning Rails (RoR) which is the main thing I am after. Also interested in exploring Sinatra briefly to understand what it is capable of.

Next plan is to jump onto David Morales’ Hands-on Introduction: Ruby on Rails tomorrow which is just an hour long and hoping it to give me a good kickstart into working with Rails.
